Rolling Stone ha deciso di aggiornare la sua lista dei 500 più grandi album di tutti i tempi e sono riusciti a metterla insieme con l’aiuto di più di 300 artisti, produttori, critici e figure dell’industria musicale (dai programmatori radiofonici ai capi delle etichette come il CEO della Atlantic Records Craig Kallman).
L’elettorato include Beyoncé, Taylor Swift e Billie Eilish; artisti in ascesa come H.E.R., Tierra Whack, e Lindsey Jordan degli Snail Mail; così come musicisti veterani, come Adam Clayton e The Edge degli U2, Raekwon del Wu-Tang Clan, Gene Simmons e Stevie Nicks.
